What is Andrographis?

Andrographis paniculata, commonly known as creat, green chiretta and King of Bitter, is an annual herbaceous plant in the family Acanthaceae, native to India and Sri Lanka. This powerful, natural antioxidant has been used for years all over the world to improve the immune system, aid digestion and contribute to overall health and wellness.

Used in both Chinese and Indian Ayurvedic medicine, it has mainly been studied for the treatment of colds, flu and upper respiratory tract infections. It has also been studied for inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and ulcerative colitis.
